About the Role

Job Summary:
The Audiologist will provide diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative audiological services to patients of all ages.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Assists in supervising student interns.
* Duties/Responsibilities:
* Provides rehabilitative audiological services. Administers and interprets audiological tests, develops a
treatment plan, and establishes goals for each patient. Monitors progress of recommendations and
treatment plans and reassesses as appropriate.
* Calibrates equipment, prepares related reports, and maintains the audiological suite, materials, and
supplies.
* Communicates with patient and family and provides counseling when appropriate.
* Provides case management services and makes client referrals to other social or health service agencies.
* Logs procedures and submits charges to the department secretary for submission to the billing
department.
* Writes evaluation reports and daily progress notes on a timely basis.
* Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge in field of audiology. Prepares and presents in-service education to
staff and the community.
* Assists in implementing and monitoring the departments quality assurance program.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
* Manual dexterity to calibrate equipment.
* Ability to relate to individuals of all ages.
* Above-average communication, language, and interpersonal skills.
* Unimpaired or corrected hearing/listening skills.
* Skill in preparing written patient evaluations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE::
* Masters degree or equivalent in audiology.
* Current license or eligibility for licensing as an audiologist.
* Certified or certification eligible by the American Speech and Hearing Association.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
